One more tail on the bird couch!

So for those of you who haven't heard it through the phone chain, it's time to get your baby-name hats on again! We've got until October to pick the bestest most fantastic name for the LaValley baby.
Yes, I said BABY.
And yes, we're keeping the Solstice. :)

Kara: Rylee, what should Lori name the baby?
Rylee: ummmm... I know. Baby Get Out (la)Valley.
Kara: Baby Get Out?
Rylee: Yes. Because I want the baby to get out of Lori's tummy and play with me
* We will work on better suggestions next time. :)

Oh, I have been thinking ... while several OSU fans are naming their sons Tressel or Tressel Hayes, you may want to favor the baby's MI background ... a boy could be JoBo (as in Joachim/Bo Schembechler) or Wolverine, if baby is a girl.

p.s JoBo was a joint effort from Mom and Dad

Why predetermine which team your child will support? Go with a neutral name, like LaVerne, which goes for male or female. Say it with me: LaVerne LaValley. Very smooth!

congratulations!!! go for october 22...what a great day! how are you feeling?
I'm with Nan on the rhyming...how about Callie Lavalley? or Sally? You could even end them with the -ey.
ps...i know a great baby photographer when you need one...she also does awesome pregnancy photos which are cool to look back on!

Brenda- that's really funny, because Joe LOVES the name Callie. I made him say it out loud to hear how bad it sounds. He also likes Allie. Go figure. =)
I've been feeling pretty good, and the baby is definitely well fed! (Especially those Easter cheese-potatoes! I think ate 4 servings of them! YUM) Basically, right now if it's food, it sounds good. :)

Is it too soon to try to persuade one more couple to consider the name Gordon? Also, Davis is a very classy first name. I also discovered something you probably already know. While I was at Old Navy, I realized they have a maternity section.

Congrats! I hadn't heard yet. I can just cut/paste the 27 or so comments from my baby naming entry for you if you'd like!

Yes, I am definitely going to hit up the Old Navy maternity section! As a matter of fact, I have a gift card for Old Navy burning a hole in my purse. I'm pretty sure I'll have to go spend it, out of necessity, in the next couple weeks here.

Congratulations!!! Just learned it now on your blog so don't know what the phone chain thing is all about but it missed us.Heard two new preschool names last week. For a girl, Kadence (yes, like the drum thing)and a for a boy, Promit. I saw the name on the class list and asked the teacher what a Promit was!!! Anyway it will be exciting to have another Davis/Lehman baby. Take care. Aunt Jenni

There's no actual phone chain. I thought maybe one would be spontaneously created? No such luck.
Maybe we should diagram one, like they do for school closings!

Wow...Promit. Kind of makes me think of Kermit, or maybe the parents were at prom when....never mind.

Promit ... or maybe the parent was thinking "Promise", but has an articulation delay :)

ummmmm...Vandella Walker anyone???

Promit - that's really bad. You know it has to be rhymed with vomit!

mmm...Vandella: hadn't thought of that one! Good one, Jessica!!

Congratulations! That is exciting news!! I know you said you were keeping it, but I think you should keep the name "Solstice" on the list, just in case you end up having to get rid of it in the long run. I have no energy to think of any other creative names...but I'll be sure to post them if I do!

Do they allow pregnant women to go to the prom? What about that dress? Did you get one yet?
We're overlooking the obvious baby girl name: Lilliav, as in Lilliav LaValley (ok, you could call her Lilly).

Okay, so far Nan wins the "best pun baby name". Love the lilliav. Seriously though, I recently had in the Church nursery and have heard it is becoming quite popular--the name Neveah (Heaven backward) Anyone else heard that one. One more thought after last night--"Sanjaya"?? Aunt Jenni

Yes, I have seen a couple of Neveahs... and the most unusual name at this year's kindergarten
screening is Nivinity.
