OK, so yesterday, I had my small groups meet on the carpet and some of my students took the opportunity to spread out and were draped all over the floor. "You guys, sit up! What do you think this is, The Zebra Lounge?" I don't even know what I'm talking about, but I read blogs like it's the morning paper & drinking coffee and it's starting to creep into other areas of my life.
I hope I didn't make a grave mistake like I did in 6th grade when everyone was calling everyone else "douche bag" and so I started to do that too UNTIL I found out what it meant. Now I've deleted it from my vocabulary, but I've used it here for educational purposes.
hah!
Oh yes, little did I know how inappropriate mentioning the Zebra Lounge in an elementary school might be! Out of curiosity, I googled it and discovered that I have not yet learned my lesson from 6th grade. Why do I have to be so naive?
