I haven't blogged in a while; I've been elsewhere, running around like mad. So rather than go on and on about the mundane craziness (what an excellent oxymoron!) that is my life, instead in the interest of saving time, I'll sum it up in nice, neat haiku:
Busy and hectic;
I hate reunion planning;
New black scrunchy boots.
OK, I will offer one bit of a dilemma: I found a chocolate brown sweater, which I've been looking for to wear on Saturday. (To THE reunion.) However, I also found new black boots.
I feel like the brown is a prettier outfit, good color on me, etc.
But I feel....sassier, for lack of better words, in the black.
SO: what do I wear?!

It's awfully quiet in Bloggerville.

Thank you for your poetry, and in answer to your question, I will respond in some poetry of my own:
Go for the sweater,
it will be much better.
If you wear the booots,
you might say "shoot!",
For you might tumble down,
and land on your crown,
while gleefully dancing 'round.
Again I say, go with the sweater,
for then your feet will be free
to be light as a feather!
***Disclaimer: This is of course assuming that:
a)your boots have a heel
b)the shoes you'd wear with your brown sweater do not
c)there will be dancing at your reunion
d)you have a cousin who apparently has a little too much free time on her hands!
Hmm... I'd say go with the shoes... when I wear my one pair of boots, I feel like I am IT! I walk different, maybe even "sassier", and feel more imporant. So I'd vote shoes. I've been quiet in bloggerville too... don't think that anyone really wants to hear about my mundane repetitive life at the moment!
Hmmm...tough call. Black is always a good choice...and I agree, good shoes do make you feel a little more confident and sassy. However, I am a huge fan of brown too. AND...I recall you saying just how many pairs of boots you have, so perhaps there's a pair in your stash to go with the brown sweater? Regardless - take a photo so we can see you in all your reunion splendor!
I should add: there are brown boots to go wth the brown sweater; and a black sweater to go with the black boots.
Well...that just made it even more confusing for me! And, I just heard on the TODAY show that "brown is the new black"...whatever that means. I'm no help at all, am I???
Well, when you walk into the room, do you want your classmates to say "Look at pretty Lori" or "Look at sassy Lori"? Do you have any patent leather to go with these outfits? Remember that is definitely IN this year! Mom
Where have you been? I missed you. BUT coming back strong with poetry almost makes up for it. For those of us who are decision impaired: I'll bet you can combine the brown sweater with black slacks or... and still wear the black boots and ACCESSORIZE with jewelry or a scarf to pull it together. Can't wait to hear about the reunion! I hope you have fun!
I vote for Brown sweater, especially if you have brown boots (what are you wearing in between sweater and boots???) Yes, brown IS the new black--that means no matter how you look in it, if you want to be in style, you MUST wear brown. Patent is the other IN and according to ALL the fashionistas (?), you MUST have a red accessory--like wide belt, shoes, purse etc. So how about it--do you have your red? (Can you all guess which blog commenter relative does not have a full time job and gets to watch alot of tv?) Aunt Jenni
Brown is the new black...and black is overdone. Everyone will wear it to a reunion to look thinner...be bold and chose the brown. Where'd you get your black scrunchy boots? I want some!
I know...buy new brown shoes to wear with the new brown sweater!!!
Sorry to keep posting, but I posted my first before I read everyone elses...man i'm good. I knew that brown was the new black without even watching TV. Go Glamour magazine! I've known since July! But it's still 90 degrees in texas so we're still wearing sandals and capris.
One last time since I am ridiculousy into fashion magazines and teach in a big high school with trendy students. Patent is huge...but not with brown. Black. Red hints in your wardrobe are also huge...but no with brown.
So either black sweater with skinny jeans, black patent shoes and a bright red headband, belt or plastic jewelry and lipstick.
Or...Brown sweater, boots and ??? (my vote is to add leggings for supertrendy Lori!)
And can you add a side ponytail too??
All I'm saying is that we'd better have an in-depth reunion coverage blog soon! Please don't keep us in suspense. Tell us what you wore!!!!
